Key responsibilities: o Establishing and maintaining close relations with governments, business and civil society leaders, managing strategic and working relations with members and governments, monitoring and evaluating business /policy developments in the region. o Manage the Global Agenda Council on Europe and Central Asia which brings together the region's most relevant thought leaders from academia, government, business and other fields to capture the best knowledge on key regional issues and integrate it into global collaboration and decision-making processes.
The European Commission is the executive body of the European Union. The body is responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the Union's treaties and the general day-to-day running of the Union. Key responsibilities: o Responsible for several multi-million Euro governance projects including: 1) Strengthening International Law 2) Parliamentary Capacity-Building 3) Saravane Public Administration Reform and Decentralisation Service Delivery Project o In charge of the Aid Effectiveness agenda and the coordination with EU Member States and development partners o Prepared policy papers, political reports and briefs and drafted speeches on Human Rights
UNICRI is a United Nations entity mandated to assist intergovernmental, governmental and non-governmental organizations in formulating and implementing improved policies in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice. Key responsibilities: o Reviewed documentation and intelligence analyses relating to major events. Swept open sources - which included electronic news, printed media, subscription services, trade publications, data repositories and information from UNICRI's network of security experts - and compounded that with closed-source information to produce concise, timely and accurate threat assessments and research reports o Co-managed the UN's International Permanent Observatory on Security Measures during Major Events (IPO). I was responsible for organizing and drafting the themes and material for the training seminars, workshops, and closed-door meetings. I also liaised with EUROPOL, INTERPOL, OSCE, EC and the other entities working within the field.
Waterberry is a non-profit organisation working to strengthen the role and involvement of young professionals in achieving sustainable development. Key responsibilities: o Involved in all aspects of the initiative including business development (from the initial project proposal, LFA formulation and subsequent organizational expansion and partnership agreements), fund raising (including developing innovative strategies to encourage donations, applying for grants and drafting seed proposals), legal aspects (relating to registering Waterberry as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States), organizing events (through conferences and at careers fairs) and providing mentoring services.
Bloomberg connects decision makers in business, finance and government to a broad and dynamic network of information, news, people and ideas that enables faster, more effective decisions. Key responsibilities: o I was responsible for the active monitoring of Scandinavian equity markets and for breaking news. I maintained contacts with Bloomberg's Nordic clients and was in charge of reporting on developments in the Nordic financial markets o Worked as part of a team generating market research and writing news stories for Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and the Baltic countries. I helped to expand and improve the timeliness and quality of Bloomberg's financial tools so that more institutions would chose Bloomberg over its competitors. During this time I wrote hundreds of short news wire items as well as longer in-depth research pieces
